🎉 The D102 Mentor/Mentee Program wrapped up the first half of the year with a fun cookie-decorating celebration! 🍪✨ New staff and mentors connected, reflected on their "favorite things" about D102, and celebrated the collaboration that makes our district exceptional. 💙

📚 Students in Ms. Mastri's class are diving into the writing process! They were busy researching fascinating facts about their chosen topics and crafting polished, compelling pieces for their audiences. 🖊️✨ The creativity and effort in their work was truly inspiring! 🙌

🎉 What a fantastic day at our early childhood program's Family Game Day! Families joined us for a fun-filled event where they shared their favorite games with the class. From classic board games to creative activities, it was a great opportunity for our little learners to bond with their families while building new skills. 🦃✨ Meridian Ambassadors are spreading the holiday spirit! Thanks to the incredible generosity of our staff, students, families, and district members, they were able to sponsor complete Thanksgiving dinners for 12 local families. 🙌 As part of the Gratitude Generation Shop ‘n’ Share program, our Ambassadors also took a field trip to Aldi, where they worked together to purchase groceries for three families, ensuring they had meals for an entire week on a $80 budget! 🛒💛 A big thank you to everyone who donated and helped make this possible, and to our Ambassadors for delivering the goods to a local food pantry! Your kindness is making a real impact. 🍽️

📢 Exciting Update on Our Gymnasium! 🏗️ Our project is moving forward, and we’re thrilled to involve our junior high students in a meaningful way! They had the special opportunity to sign two of the steel beams that will be a lasting part of our new gymnasium windows. This week, our skilled masonry contractor installed a total of nine beams, including the two beams proudly signed by our students. This gymnasium will truly be a place built for our students, by our students, and with our community’s support.
