🇺🇸 Making a difference one letter at a time! 💌 Our amazing 3rd-grade students in the Tripp Student Council honored our brave soldiers and veterans by writing heartfelt letters of gratitude for Veteran's Day.

Their thoughtful notes expressed appreciation for the courage and bravery shown by our military every single day. The letters have been mailed through A Million Thanks to reach deployed troops around the world! 🌎 We are so proud of our students for taking this meaningful action.

Students recently wrapped up an impressive, multi-step project where they moved beyond simple drawing and dove into complex design techniques like collage, stripes, weaves, and notches. ✂️🧵

These pieces aren't just art—they're dimensional, layered compositions requiring meticulous planning and creative integration of elements. We are so proud of the skill and craftsmanship displayed by our emerging artists! 👏🙌

Meridian parents and students had an awesome evening discussing the 2026 Bluestem Award nominee, "Better With Butter" by Victoria Piontek! We talked about Marvel and her amazing emotional support fainting goat. 🤯

The night got even better with a surprise visit from the D102 Therapy Dog teams! 🐶 They shared how therapy animals help manage anxiety and bring comfort. Huge thanks to Mrs. Zucker, Meridian’s librarian, and the wonderful D102 Therapy Dogs for a fantastic family night! ❤️ #D102 #ImpactD102

Pritchett families gathered for a fantastic inaugural Family Book Club! It was a beautiful reminder of how food connects us to our cultures and to each other. 📚✨

The discussion centered around the delightful story, "Bilal Cooks Daal." Participants enjoyed reading the book together and then shared meaningful conversations about the special and important foods in their own homes. We even used colorful lentil beans to create mosaics 🎨 reminiscent of the daal Bilal cooks in the story!

Thank you to the amazing organizers, Ms. Boznos, Mrs. Takeuchi, and Ms. Blair, for planning and hosting such a warm and engaging program.

Singing their hearts out! 🎶

Mrs. Simon's talented choir students brought the concert practice right to the District Office! 🎹 She rolled the piano into the Board Room and gathered around to perform a special preview for their upcoming concert.

It was a joy for our staff, including their former principals and other district leaders! They enjoyed being a part of the audience and cheering them on. It's moments like these that truly connect our schools to the district office. Way to make a #D102Impact. Thanks for the incredible performance! 🌟👏 #EveryDayEveryStudent

Students in Mrs. Solvsberg and Ms. Campbell's classes completed writing pieces about personal identity! They explored what shapes them as individuals, connecting their self-discovery directly to essential storytelling skills. 🧠

Our young writers crafted incredible narrative pieces, focusing on the five core elements of a great story: Character, Setting, Plot, Conflict, and Theme. It's amazing to see them connect their personal journeys with masterful writing! 🎉 #102Impact #D102 #EveryDayEveryStudent

There was explosive fun in Ms. Atkinson's speech group! 🎃🌋 Her students completed an amazing, hands-on pumpkin volcano activity! They mixed baking soda and vinegar inside a carved pumpkin to create a bubbling chemical reaction! ✨

It was an interactive way to practice some key speech and language goals: sequencing ➡️, following multi-step directions 📋, and articulation 🗣️.

The students loved being involved in every step, especially the measuring! They left group time with explosive smiles! 😄

Structured Playtime Fun! ☀️🤸‍♀️
Kindergarten at Pritchett and Tripp starts every morning with valuable structured play! 🏫 Our teachers intentionally teach playground rules 🚦, teamwork 🤝, and expectations for classic games like Tag, Red Light/Green Light, and Duck, Duck, Goose. 🦆

They also dedicate time to learning how to use all the playground equipment safely! This intentional approach boosts essential motor skills and helps our youngest learners build cooperation, confidence, and social skills that are key for classroom success! 🚀 #EveryDayEveryStudent #D102Impact
