Pritchett families gathered for a fantastic inaugural Family Book Club! It was a beautiful reminder of how food connects us to our cultures and to each other. 📚✨

The discussion centered around the delightful story, "Bilal Cooks Daal." Participants enjoyed reading the book together and then shared meaningful conversations about the special and important foods in their own homes. We even used colorful lentil beans to create mosaics 🎨 reminiscent of the daal Bilal cooks in the story!

Thank you to the amazing organizers, Ms. Boznos, Mrs. Takeuchi, and Ms. Blair, for planning and hosting such a warm and engaging program.

Our students became 3D masters, learning multi-step skills: swirling colors, careful cutting, expert layering, and adding that final 3D shadow effect to make their favorite paper crayons look like they're standing right up! 🎉 What a fantastic start to the school year! The PTO’s Back to School Dash and D102 Wellness Committee brought everyone together with local vendors around the new track, plus face painting, balloon artists, axe throwing, soccer, and games on the field. ⚽🎈🏹

🎉 Exciting news from AJHS! On Tuesday, community stakeholders proudly cut the ribbon to officially open our brand-new gymnasium, a community achievement made possible by the passing of the referendum and incredible support all around. This new space will have a lasting #D102Impact on our entire D102 community.

Superintendent McIntyre even shot some hoops after the event while AJHS Catalyst club members gave tours of the renovated spaces throughout the school.
