A new school year is right around the corner and District 102 is already buzzing with excitement. This week, new teachers gathered for orientation, officially kicking off their journey in the district.
Superintendent Dr. McIntyre set the tone for the day with an inspiring welcome, sharing his vision for the year ahead and encouraging staff to embrace the rewarding work of shaping young learners. Board President Sklansky also extended a warm greeting on behalf of the Board of Education, expressing gratitude for the educators’ commitment and underscoring the district’s support for their success.
Throughout the day, new staff connected with mentors, learned about district programs, and prepared for the important role they will play in students’ lives.
With the support of colleagues, administrators, and the community, D102’s newest educators are ready to make an immediate impact in classrooms across the district.
Up next comes opening day for staff, open house, meet and greets, and the first day of school!
