It is an honor to be part of such a world-class educational system. The district has a small, family feel, making it a welcoming and nurturing environment for all its children. D102 is a learning community that teaches staff and children to think critically, collaborate effectively, and innovate passionately.โ
Dr. Moreland knew he wanted to be in the field of education ever since high school when he taught children tennis at the park district. Dr. Moreland has been in education since 1994, as a fifth-grade teacher, and as an Assistant Principal and Principal of Pritchett Elementary School. Dr. Moreland earned a Bachelor of Science in Education from Drake University; a Master of Educational Administration from National-Louis University; a Doctor of Education degree from Loyola University of Chicago; and an English Learners certification.
