About the Early Childhood Program

The mission of the Meridian Early Childhood program is to provide a comprehensive, child-centered learning environment that supports each child’s growth through developmentally appropriate, play-based experiences.

Our program prides itself on its inclusive model of education with a continuum of services that ensures all students have access to a child-centered learning environment with same-aged peers. Each classroom is supported by an early childhood teacher additionally certified in Special Education and English Language Acquisition, a classroom assistant, and a related service team (speech and language pathologist, occupational therapist, and social worker). Our early childhood team works together to provide meaningful services and support to children in their least restrictive environment.

Children attend the Early Childhood Program for 2 ½ hours per day, 5 days per week in the morning (AM) or afternoon (PM) session. Family Events take place once per month on Fridays, non-student attendance days.

For more information on the Early Childhood Program and developmental milestones, please see this document.
