Pritchett School Start and End Times
Thanks for a Great Year!
Dear Parents, Thank you for making our 2015-2016 school year the best ever! We have enjoyed all of the wonderful contributions you have shared with Pritchett School! Mrs. Kozicki will top it off with fun filled Field Days next week! I would like to extend best wishes to Bette Blumberg, Sue Braiman and Judy Burnett as they retire after many years of dedicated service to the field of education. I would also like to extend best wishes to Katie Comella, Jori Kaufmann, Amy Salus and Eric Seegert as they leave our school to follow different career paths. We will miss you all! Finally, please take note that our last day of school, June 3, will be a full day. Students will attend school during normal hours, 9:00 to 3:30. We appreciate the AMAZING year our students and families have shared with us. THANK YOU AGAIN! Have a wonderful summer, Matt K. Moreland, Ed.D. Principal
Thanks for the Memories, Fourth-Graders!
On Thursday, May 26, our fourth-grade students put on an incredible concert! Special thanks to Mrs. Rosemary Nelson and the fourth-grade staff for a truly memorable evening. Children shared their love of music through a variety of heartfelt songs. Throughout the performance individuals reflected on their years at Pritchett School and also shared "Words of Wisdom" with the younger members of the audience. The night concluded with a touching slideshow created by Ms. Diana Hachikian. The presentation, set to music, captured the children's growth throughout their 5 years at Pritchett. We are proud of our fourth-graders and wish them the best of luck at Meridian Middle School!

MAP Assessment Information
Each year in District 102, second through eighth grade students are assessed with Northwest Evaluation Association’s Measures of Academic Progress (MAP) in Reading and Mathematics. MAP tests are aligned with the Common Core State Standards for English Language Arts and Mathematics. Illinois has adopted these as the State Learning Standards for both of these subject areas. MAP alignment with these new learning standards is an essential step in monitoring academic growth of the students in college and career readiness. These tests, in conjunction with other assessments, determine your child’s instructional level and academic growth in the areas of Reading and Mathematics throughout the school year, and from year to year.
The second, third and fourth grade spring MAP testing window commences on May 9 and concludes on May 27. We will provide you with results in the final report card.
