PES - Congratulations to Alyssa and Ethan!

Each year the Lake Region of the Illinois Principal's Association (IPA) invites schools from across the county to participate in their annual Student Recognition Breakfast held at Vernon Hills High School. The Lake Region IPA encourages schools to invite up to two students and their parents from the highest grade of the school to attend the ceremony. The breakfast and ceremony recognizes students for outstanding achievements in school and/or the community.

On behalf of Pritchett School congratulations to fourth grade students Alyssa M. and Ethan Z.!

PES - Pennies for Patients

Pritchett students have been participating in The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society’s “Pennies for Patients” fundraising program since 2007. The drive is to benefit those with blood cancer as well as fund research. During a two week period this March, the children, families and staff donated pennies, nickels, dimes, quarters and bills to raise $1,065.59!! This was a tremendous opportunity for Pritchett students to demonstrate their passion for supporting others and practicing District 102’s Universal Values of Integrity in their daily lives. They also learned how important and fulfilling community service can be. Mrs. Nancy Connor and her third and fourth-grade GTE (Gifted Talented Education) students were the coordinators of the program.

Thank you, Pritchett Panthers for your generous donations!

D102 Needs 615 Parents to Take Survey

Please visit illinois.5-essentials.org to participate in the 2014 Illinois 5Essentials Survey which will help us to better understand specific aspects of your child’s school and guide improvement.  School-level reports for D102 will be generated ONLY if at least 30 percent of parents (at least 615 parents) respond to the survey. Results will be sent to our district in June and included in the ISBE school report cards. 5Essentials Reports will also be publicly available via the UChicago Impact website.
