Aptakisic Junior High School Students Leave for Washington D.C.
February 24 - Ninety-eight eighth graders left on two coach buses Wednesday morning to visit our nation's capital. Superintendent Theresa Dunkin (front right) is there to send off the group as Social Studies Teacher Bebe Nudelman gives a smile and wave from behind. Mrs. Nudelman and several other teachers have been preparing junior high students for this fieldtrip with plans to give first hand accounts of how government works while exploring the many museums and historical sights in Wachington D.C.

District 102 Schools Earn Academic Excellence Award PDF Print E-mail

Aptakisic-Tripp Consolidated Community School District 102 recently earned an Academic Excellence Award from the Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE). District 102 is one of 438 schools across the state to earn this distinguished award. Academic excellence is earned through meeting the following criteria: 1) 90% of students met or exceeded state standards in both reading and math for three consecutive years; and 2) all District 102 schools made Adequate Yearly Progress in 2008 and 2009.
