Migrate your FirstClass calendar to Google

Migrating a calendar from FirstClass to Google involves two steps:  

  1. Export the calendar from FirstClass
  2. Import the calendar into Google

Export your FirstClass calendar

  1. Log into FirstClass and open your Calendar.
  2. Select a single event.
  3. From the "File" Menu, select "Export".
  4. In the window that appears, choose "All events and tasks" and "iCalendar (.ics)".
  5. Click "OK".
  6. Rename the exported file/s (i.e. MyEvents.ics). Leave the file extension intact.
  7. Click "Save".

Import your events into Google Calendar

  1. Log into your D102 Google account.
  2. Switch to Calendar.
  3. If you want to import the events into your main calendar, skip to step 5.
  4. If you want your imported events to appear in their own calendar, click the triangle next to "My calendars" and select "Create new calendar".
  5. Click the triangle next to "Other calendars" and select "Import calendar".
  6. In the window that appears, click "Choose file" and locate the file you save above.
  7. From the "Calendar" drop down, choose the calendar where you want the events to be saved.
  8. Click "Import".
