The Aptakisic 8th grade band members recently performed at the D125 Band Consortium Concert. The concert was held at the Stevenson High School Fine Arts Center and included band members from neighboring school districts 76, 96, 103 and 125. The Consortium 125 festival featured songs such as March from the Third Suite, Phoenix Overture, Highlights from the Music Man, and Primeval Storm Front.

On January 30, our 8th grade choral group performed at the 18th Annual Consortium 125 Choral Concert at Stevenson High School. The concert experience is the result of the excellent cooperation that exists among school districts 76, 96, 102, 103 and 125. The consortium is a cooperative program designed to showcase the vocal music teaching and learning that occurs within our respective schools.

Students at Aptakisic recently attended Jerry Ackerman's interactive talk on the four types of bullying, including cyberbullying. During Mr. Ackerman's presentation, he challenged every person to take personal responsibility for their choices and success.
