Tripp Student Council Donates Blankets to Shelter

The third and fourth grade students in Tripp’s Student Council recently made 30 “no-sew” tie blankets that were donated to Shelter, Inc. in Arlington Heights in March.  Shelter, Inc. is a non-profit community based organization that provides emergency and longer-term housing for children and adolescents who are abused, neglected, dependent, or in need of supervision.  The students gave up their recess time to meet and tie the blankets.  Thank you to all of the third and fourth graders who participated in this project and to the Student Council Sponsors Ms. Cardella, Mrs. Kurtas, Mrs. Machtinger, and Mrs. Wischmeyer. alt
