The district is off to a great start with its fifth Future Planning event involving more than 75 community members, parents, staff, students, and Board members. On October 18, these stakeholders reviewed the district's history and began to delve into identifying behaviors and indicators that may be used as milestones to show that the district is ceaselessly moving towards its vision.
The vision is a living document that guides and directs the district's decision-making process. It is a picture of the future and is constantly evolving and changing. In between Future Planning cycles (formerly called strategic design), district leaders align and adjust plans and goals by surveying parents and students; and evaluating curriculum, instruction, and resources. This continual analysis and improvement drives the district as a whole towards meeting vision benchmarks.
