Congratulations to 5th Grade Teacher Carrie Curtis who recently received the "Character Matters in Lake County Excellence in Character Award." 

State Representative Carol Sente notes in a letter to Carrie Curtis that this is an immense honor for those who exhibit outstanding character and encourage the development of good character in others. Curtis is recognized as one of 26 teachers in Lake County who are being honored as dedicated individuals who betters his/her community with selfless actions and a commitment to "go the extra mile."
