"Each summer I volunteer with the American Hearing Impaired Hockey Association (formerly known as Stan Mikita's Hearing Impaired Hockey School).
It is a one week camp for deaf hockey players from all over the United States that come together for one week and we teach them hockey during the day (on and off ice) and we have games against local clubs in the evenings. This year I was honored to also coach our first Girl's Deaf Hockey Team. On Wednesday, we had a HUGE surprise. Coach Quenneville (and the Hall of Fame entourage) brought the Stanley Cup to share with our players and staff. Wow - and I thought sitting on the glass at one of the play-off games and winning the Stanley Cup was exciting! This was a dream come true!"
