Tripp Family Reading Night Inspires Love of Literacy

More than 100 students and families attended this year's Reading Night at Tripp Elementary School. Many book related activities were offered such as Best New Books, Reading Games, Books in Motion, and Early Literacy Series from various genres. Some teachers hosted poetry reading where student wrote and read poems using literary props. In the library, parents read a play while the students acted out the story. Technology had its part in the evening events as well. Families and students experienced hands-on activities using the i-Pads to explore educational applications available for use in school and at home.

The PTO hosted the final evening of its book fair selling a wonderful selection of books for use at home.

A huge thank you to Amy Goldstein for organizing this important event, and to everyone who gave time and talent to help make it so successful including Mrs. Baddeley, Ms.Cardella, Mrs. Kurtas, Ms. Kotek, Mrs. Aikman, Mrs. Collins, Mrs. Machtinger, Mrs. Neuman, Mr. Funke, Ms. Seveska, Mrs. McKenna, Mrs. Childers, Mrs. Iacullo, Mrs. Goldsmith, Mrs. Trauten, Ms. Amatangelo, Mrs. Perovic, Mrs. Murdach, Mr. Michels, Mr. Soto and Mrs. Bhardwaj.
