The second graders at Pritchett planned a community celebration as part of a class theme. The students read Stone Soup, an old folk story usually told as a lesson in cooperation, especially in times of scarcity. Each student contributed one ingredient such as carrots, celery, beans, potatoes, broccoli, cauliflower or noodles or an item to go with the soup. Each class cooked a pot of soup in the morning and then celebrated as a community in the adjoining hallway.
A special thank you to second grade teachers Nancy Connor, Julie Coon, Melissa Fasuna, and Megan Randazzo for a wonderful Thanksgiving lesson.
