Band students from grades five through eight recently performed for families and friends at Stevenson High School's Performing Arts Center. The Meridian Band played three pieces, including Boundary Road March, Chant and Celebration, and New World Symphony. The Aptakisic seventh grade band played A Patriotic Festival, Kenya Contrasts, and St. Louis Blues. The eighth grade band played Amparito Roca,  Ballade, and Tchaikovsky's 1812 Overture.

Congratulations to all the students for a wonderful concert, and to our band directors Allison Rakickas and Tom Eifert who contribute so much time and talent in directing the Meridian Concert Band and the Aptakisic seventh and eighth grade Concert Band respectively.

Special thanks to the many parents that play an active role in their child’s involvement in the band program. From paying for private lessons, carpooling for after school rehearsals, to simple words of encouragement, we appreciate the many things you do to help your children succeed in band.
