An outdoor courtyard located in the middle of Aptakisic Junior High was recently renovated into a beautiful space that invites exploration. Carol Arand of Designs For You, Inc. designed a wonderful outdoor learning space complete with a stone water fall, rocks to sit upon, paths to explore, and a variety of textured plants to add color throughout the year. Students and staff volunteered during a recent weekend and prepared and planted this creative space.

There is also room for a vegetable and spice garden which will be planted during the growing seasons. The courtyard has been used by many classes enjoying the nice weather during mid-October. Aptakisic teachers even gathered for a meeting outside so they would have the full experience of using the courtyard as a center for enrichment.
