Pritchett students loved reading books such as Library Lion and Argus written by Michelle Knudsen. Pritchett library information specialist Mrs. Akiyoshi learned about authors like Ms. Knudsen who will Skype with librarians through an online network. So second graders decided to meet the author and ask her where she comes up with such great ideas for books; who illustrates the books; which one is her favorite; and how the books transition from her mind to the Pritchett library. The students sat on the floor in the PES library recently and Skyped with the author who resides in New York. The author was as big as life on the Interactive Whiteboard as she answered questions.
