Teachers constantly strive to provide learning opportunities at each student's personal developmental level. During the most recent hands-on institute day, teachers enhanced their technology expertise by learning even more about iPad apps, advanced Interactive Whiteboards, state-of-the-art mathematic tools, and more.

The day focused on Language Arts content and the development of strategies for high achieving students, strategies that will ultimately benefit all students.

A smaller group of teachers recently spent time reviewing and aligning District 102's Language Arts curriculum with the new Common Core Standards which provide a clear understanding of what students are expected to learn. Meeting the needs of high achieving students is part of our five-year district goal of Personalization and Academic Rigor.
