District 102 Teaching and Learning Coordinator recently hosted an ELL/Transitional Bilingual Education (TBE) Night. The evening included a variety of foods, resources, and opportunities for guests. The new families were provided with an overview of the services and resources provided in the D102 Bilingual program. The Vernon Area Public Library shared resources and program information as well. Nearly 50 adults showed interest in the adult ESL (English as a Second Language) class that will be provided together with the College of Lake County beginning at the end of January. The families and staff brought and shared homemade foods giving everyone a taste of the variety of cultures in D102.
