On September 21, District 102 celebrated International Day of Peace. The elementary school students made pinwheels and placed them in front of the Pritchett and Tripp schools.
A pinwheel is a childhood symbol reminding us of a time when things were simple, playful, and peaceful. The pinwheels were part of a world-wide project to remind us of the importance of building peace within ourselves, families, communities, and in the world. This was a culminating activity for our district's ten-day peace effort, People for Peace, which started on the 10th Anniversary of 9/11.
