Aptakisic Junior High Golf Team brought six golfers to the first ever Illinois Elementary School Association (IESA) State Golf Tournament at St. Andrews Country Club. Eighth grader Alexia Fidman placed fourth in the women's division.
The golf team has 15 members this year and is coached by Adam Rosenak and Drew Herrera. The summer golf season spanned ten weeks ending with the State tournament on September 10. During practices, the golfers spent time at the practice range working on skills, and playing 9-hole practice rounds. The coaches are looking forward to another great season next summer and plan to put together a few matches as more schools in the area begin golf programs.
