Congratulations to the class of 2011! They received diplomas at the Aptakisic Junior High graduation ceremony at Stevenson High School on June 2. Of the 241 students that graduated, 47 earned National Junior Honor Society rank and 24 earned a 4.0 GPA.

Special recognition included Jenny Yanjia Zhang, a 4.0 student who was selected to give student reflections at the graduation event. Also notable were the students who received awards this spring including the two Illinois Principal's Association Outstanding Student Recognition Awards that were presented to Nuha Hamid and Kristina Kirova. District 102 PTO honored three students. Two students received the Bob Basofin Award including Kevin Cheng and Catherine Pastuovic, and Renee Jhu received the Douglas Parks Award. Lastly, our congratulations goes to Jacob Victor who received the 2011 Excellence in Character Award from the Lake County Regional Office of Education.
